Student of the Week

Alex Carr awarded this week's award to Adam Cook for his help in organising the costumes for Div. Song. Adam always gives his all to the house and is always looking for ways to help. Top man!

Do the small things well...........

As we move towards half-term and become tired it is important we maintain our very high standards. In particular, I want Hesperoids to continue to get the small things right. Appearance, punctuality, room tidiness, manners etc. are crucial and it can be easy to let these slip. Please push on right the way to half-term.

Div. Music 2014
  • The result was surprising and disappointing but we have to accept the adjudicators decision and congratulate Harbinger! The adjudicator was only interested in musicality not performance and this cost us the win.
  • However, we can be proud of winning the Div. Instrumental award for a third time in succession.
  • I've received lots of emails from your parents and comments from staff and pupils saying how much they enjoyed our house song. The overriding impression is that Hesperus showed great unity and enjoyment singing 'Do you hear the people sing' and this is more important than any trophy!
  • Flo Pugh has been invited to Muster to receive our thanks and a bottle of champagne to celebrate her contribution to Div. Music over the past five years. Her leadership and skill has been invaluable and it will be much harder without her next year! Harry Farrant spoke and thanked her for the house.
