Div. Rugby was an eagerly contested affair with all four
divisions putting in a huge amount of training in the build up to the event.
With the 6th Form leading the way and organising the teams, over 120
boys turned up on Whites to take part in the tournament.
The tournament was played using a combination of rules from
rugby union, rugby league and touch rugby which took some getting used to.
However, the teams quickly got used to the variations and produced some
excellent rugby.
After a number of incredibly close matches, the 3rd
Form tournament ended up with Macquarie winning and PJ second. The 5th
Form tournament ended the same way but Hesperus took the top spot in the 4th
Form competition after it was decided by a ‘drop goal shoot out’.
This rounded off what has been an excellent half term and
there have been a huge number of positives for the rugby club – especially the
effort put in by players and coaches alike. Well done and enjoy the break!
