Hesperus faced Port Jackson in the annual Pangbourne College Paintball Trip. With a young squad Hesperus struggled in the first two games as the more experienced PJ squad outmanoeuvred us. However, the boys began to find their range in game 3 as we successfully prevent PJ moving a flag to our base. Our strong defence was led by the Lower Sixth with the assistance of Mr Paynter issuing orders safe in the knowledge that he was out of range (he spent long periods hiding behind a tank).
In the final game Hesperus had to attack PJ and get our flag into their base. Finally we devised some tactics and attacks down the left and right flanks proved too much for PJ. The game was won when Mr Paynter finally broke cover to take advantage of a weak defence and plant our flag.
A really fun morning and a good way to spend the first Sunday of the year.
