Cancer Research - Fundraising

Recently a close family friend of mine was diagnosed with Bone Marrow Cancer. This inspired me to do something to help them face this challenge. So I decided that shaving my head would be a nice way of showing my support. A group of eight of my peers: Toby Jones, Chris Singleton, Seb Bearn, Ed Winter, Dan Nelson, Olly Rogers, Todd Bruce, Tin Alisic and myself are planning to shave our heads in aid of Cancer Research UK. We are planning to shave our heads to a grade 1 standard on Wednesday 7th May.

If you are interested in donating to our cause, the website to our donation page is here: www.justgiving.com/james-lacey3

Please give generously, any little helps!

Yours sincerely,

James Lacey

L6 'Inspirational Person' Talk

Will Read gave a very funny talk on Prince Felix Yusupov - the man who killed Rasputin: http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/RUSyusupov.htm

Will said we can learn 3 things from Yusupov:

1. If you're going to do something, do it properly (e.g. kill Rasputin)
2. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again. (it took four attempts to kill Rasputin)
3. Don't sleep with a Russian man's wife (sound advice - Rasputin allegedly slept with Yusupov's wife, the Tsar's niece).
