100%
Hesperus took part in the Pangbourne College Cross-Country race on Monday afternoon. The race, called 100% due to our aim of getting universal involvement, is over a 5k course and includes some nasty hills and difficult terrain. The boys gave their all and despite the freezing weather there were some excellent results from Hesperus students.
All of the boys can be pleased with their efforts but a particular well done to:
Seniors: Jeronimo Villar (4), Bryn Dawson (5), Jonnie Batchelor (10)
Juniors: Tom Perring (2), Javier Diaz (3)

Well done to Harbinger who won the Div. Basketball competition. Hesperus came 3rd after losing to Harbinger by 1 point and a narrow defeat to PJ.

RAF Competition
Sunday 3rd February 2013
The group of 11 (which included 7 from Hesperus: Guy Trees, Angus Pearson, Will Read, Alex O'Sullivan, Louis Knapp-Voith, Finn Slevin, Rory Pearson) left school at 7.00 and arrived at RAF Halton at 8.00 where we made sure that all of our uniform was in order and looking its best. During the day we took part in a drill competition, shooting with a simulated infantry rifle, an RAF knowledge test, a first aid simulation, aircraft recognition and a fitness test. We competed to best of our abilities in all of the events and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We are expecting a positive result to come from the competition, however, we will not find out the results until next week.
